CHP Brasil is a Brazilian company offering solutions in distributed gas generation.

CHP Brasil offers solutions to decrease costs associated with energy consumption by increasing energy efficiency in cogeneration – electric and thermal energy generation using generator’s dissipated heat, operation at peak hours, as well as energy generation from biogas. In addition to the focus on reducing energy costs, CHP Brasil’s gas generators may also operate for back up purposes, with the aim of promoting the plant's energy security against blackouts.

The company launched its activities with the development of its main product - the gas generating groups - idealized in 2004 with economic support from Brazilian FINEP (Financiadora de Estudos e Projetos do Ministério da Ciência e Tecnologia [Financier of Studies and Projects of the Ministry of Science and Technology]).

Currently, CHP Brasil focuses on the continuous development of innovative and sustainable products that promote energy efficiency in both generation and energy consumption, providing resources savings and pollutant emissions reduction. In addition, CHP Brasil accumulates extensive know-how in developing projects and solutions for companies in various segments by strategically combining different types of technologies with the goal of achieving more energy efficient operations.

The ‘CHP’ acronym derives from 'Combined Heat & Power', which means 'Energy Cogeneration'. This process is widely used in Europe to significantly increase the energy efficiency of a power generation facility by harnessing the thermal energy dissipated by the generator. This specialized engineering is one of the focus of the company and gave rise to the brand CHP Brasil®.
